(Bratislava 11.12.2008) Division of Abuse of a Dominant Position of the Antimonopoly Office of the SR initiated the administrative proceedings against the undertaking ENVI-PAK, a.s. in the matter of possible abuse of a dominant position pursuant to the Act on Protection of Competition and to the Article 82 of the EC Treaty.
The Antimonopoly Office of the SR imposed a fine in amount of 10 000,- SKK (331.94,- €) to the municipality Stara Lubovna for breaching the Act on Protection of Competition
(Bratislava 8.12.2008) Division of Abuse of a Dominant Position of the Antimonopoly Office of the SR imposed a fine in amount of 10 000,- SKK to the municipality Stara Lubovna for breaching the article 39 of the Act on Protection of Competition which means that the local self-administration authorities during the performance of self-administration and transferred performance of state administration must not provide evident support giving advantage to certain undertakings or otherwise restrict competition.

(Bratislava 3.11.2008) Division of Abuse of a Dominant Position of the Antimonopoly Office of the SR repeatedly examined the conduct of the company Slovak Telekom, a.s. in the matter of abuse of a dominant position in the form of margin squeeze and for this competition restriction it imposed the fine in amount of 73 000 000,- SKK (2 423 156.08,- €) to it.
The Council of the Antimonopoly Office of the SR stopped the proceedings in the matter of Airport Bratislava concentration
(Bratislava 3.11.2008) The Council of the Antimonopoly Office of the SR stopped the proceedings in the matter of the concentration grounded in acquisition of control by the undertaking Flughafen Wien AG (hereinafter “Airport Vienna“), company PENTA Investments Limited (hereinafter “PENTA“) and the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the SR over the undertaking Letisko M. The Supreme Court of the SR confirmed a fine in amount of 1 000 000,- SKK to the entrepreneur SAMOŠKA, a.s.
(Bratislava 7.8.2008) On July 15, 2008 decision of the Supreme Court of the SR came into force by which the Supreme Court of the SR rejected complaint of the entrepreneur SAMOŠKA, a.s. and so it confirmed the decision of the Council of the Office from the year 2005 and the judgement of the County Court in Bratislava from the year 2007.

(Bratislava 17.7.2008) First-instance decision of the Division of Agreements Restricting Competition of the Antimonopoly Office of SR by which the Division imposed a fine in the amount of 50 000,- SKK on the Geodesists and Cartographers Chamber for restriction of competition in the market in the end of the year 2007, came into force on July 15, 2008 on a basis of withdrawal of the appeal by the entrepreneur.
