On 14 December 2020 the Slovak Republic commemorated the 20th anniversary of its accession to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development – the OECD.

The OECD is an international organization that aims to work to develop better policies for a better life in a wide scope of areas, including competition protection. Competition topics are discussed in fora devoted to competition and there is also an exchange of experiences between Member States, international organizations as well as associated observers.

The Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic, through the participation of its representatives in meetings of working groups and the Competition Committee, has the opportunity to directly participate in the exchange of know-how in the area of competition law enforcement in countries around the world. Thanks to the membership of the Slovak Republic in the OECD, the Office's employees also have an access to expert analyses based on data and ideas of advanced competition authorities, scientific personalities, as well as the opportunity to be inspired by their attitudes and conclusions following current trends in competition protection.
