On 5 May 2014 the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic initiated the administrative proceedings in the matter of concentration grounded in acquisition of the indirect control of undertakings ISTROENERGO GROUP, a.s. and ISTROENERGO INTERNATIONAL, a.s. over the enterprise of the undertaking PPC Investments, a.s. Parties notifying the concentration act mainly in the area of drafting, projecting, supplying and providing the service of new power producing units designed for conversion of fossil fuels to electric and thermal energy. Undertaking PPC Investments, a.s. provides support services for operator of transmissions system in the Slovak Republic and by 2013 it acted mainly in the area of production and sale of electric energy and heat.
Third parties, namely natural and legal persons may submit their comments, objections and information on notified concentrations to the Office. We ask the third parties to submit their comments to the Office as soon as possible after the notification is published. This would enable the Office (considering the observance of legal periods) to deal with these comments within the first phase of notified concentration assessment.
